Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Be Up collects, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short and only collect what we need to run the studio.
Who we are
Be Up is a Pole Dance & Aerial Studio at Unit 8, Eastlink Business Park, Ballysimon Rd, Monaclinoe, Limerick, V94 C796, Ireland, run by Diana Serhieieva. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
Contact for anything about your data: beuplimerick@gmail.com · +353 83 081 3132
What we collect and why
- Your booking account (TeamUp). When you sign up, buy a class or membership and book classes, our booking system TeamUp stores your name, email, phone number, purchases, bookings and attendance. We use this to run your bookings and memberships, to contact you about your classes (for example if a class is cancelled) and to keep our accounts. We need these details to take your booking — without them we can’t sell you a class. TeamUp processes this data for us under a data processing agreement. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you, and our legal obligation to keep financial records.
- Payments. Payments are taken through TeamUp and its payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
- Health information you tell us. If you tell us about an injury, a medical condition or a pregnancy, we use it only so your coach can keep you safe and adapt the class. We only note it down if it matters for your safety, keep it private, and never share it. Legal basis: your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For students under 18, a parent or guardian gives this consent.
- Messages. If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we use your details to reply to you. WhatsApp is run by Meta, which handles those messages under its own privacy policy. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your questions.
- News and offers. We only send you marketing emails or messages if you have agreed to receive them, and every message lets you unsubscribe. Messages about your bookings aren’t marketing. Legal basis: your consent.
- Photos and videos. We sometimes take photos or videos in class for our website and social media. We only post pictures in which you can be recognised if you have agreed, and you can ask us to remove them at any time. Legal basis: your consent.
- This website. The site has no contact forms, no analytics and no advertising trackers. Our hosting provider Cloudflare processes basic technical data (such as your IP address) for a short time to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website. The Google map is only loaded if you click “Show map” — see ourCookie Policy.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who we share it with
Only with the services we need to run the studio, and only as much as they need:
- TeamUp — bookings, memberships and payments
- Cloudflare — website hosting and security
- Google — only if you load the map on our Contact section
- Meta (WhatsApp) — only if you message us there
- Our accountant and public authorities such as Revenue, when the law requires it
Some of these companies may process data outside the European Economic Area. When they do, they use the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Your booking account: while you train with us, and up to 2 years after your last class, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Payment and accounting records: 6 years, as required by Irish tax law.
- Messages: up to 12 months after the conversation ends.
- Photos and videos: until you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988–2018 you have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- have it corrected if it’s wrong, or deleted
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive it in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
Email beuplimerick@gmail.com and we’ll reply within one month. It’s free. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28 — www.dataprotection.ie.
Age
Our classes are for people aged 16 and over, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
